Tinlin are a partnership of two brothers, Alex and Rolf, whose songwriting lies firmly in the production of original, honest and well-crafted acoustic pop music.
With material born of an eclectic mix of both classical and contemporary influences, Tinlin incorporate unique instrumentation of acoustic guitar, mandolin and percussion, intertwined with vocal harmonies that constantly evolve into bigger, bolder productions. Reviewers’ comparisons include Neil Young, The Beatles, Turin Breaks, Simon & Garfunkel and Crowded House.
Tinlin's debut album, Shade of the Shadows led to them collaborating with Paul Carrack on the track, Make it Right. Written by Tinlin, the song features on Paul's 2012 album, Good Feeling. Following on from their debut record, the duo then released a live album Notes From The Road in 2013. They’re now preparing a new album due out at the end of 2015.
