Kate Robbins is an English actress, comedian, singer and songwriter. Kate came to prominence in the early 1980s when she scored a No.2 hit in the UK Charts with the song More Than in Love whilst she was also appearing in the TV soap opera Crossroads. She went on to become a prolific voice artist, most notably on the satirical show Spitting Image.
In 1980 she represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest as part of the group Prima Donna, where they finished third.
Robbins later went on to write the first theme tune to Surprise, Surprise and the Granada Television sketch show Robbins featured Kate, her brother Ted and her sisters Amy, Jane and Emma. She participated in the 1989 Children's Royal Variety Performance on BBC TV, singing her own comic songs at the piano.
In 2014 she released her fourth album We’re Just Passing Through with Nicky Campbell and has since been touring the UK as part of the Grumpy Old Women Live show.
